In the comments section of this post, please write suggestions to future students - advise them on how to succeed in Physics at St. Johnsbury. What should they remember, what should they know, both about me, the course, the book, the labs, the assignments - anything!

basiscally be ready to listen alot to him he talks a whole bunch!
ReplyDeleteTo the future students of Mr. Zucker,
ReplyDeleteMy best advice to you is, turn in your assignments on time ALL the time, and he'll never bother you. Though, watch out because when he gets bored, he likes to pick on his favorite students. And he may lie and say that yo're class is the best, when really, he says it to everyone. But he's not a bad teacher, actually, he's one of the best teachers I've had and he makes the class more fun to be in. So, don't get on his bad side, do your best, and I promise you'll survive the class =]
Begin to work on your debating skills. Don't get me wrong, I loved the class and Zucker is great, but if you have a different opinion than him at any point-get ready for a debate to the death. As for the other aspects, get your work in on time, take REALLY good notes (questions on the tests are somethimes a little obscure) and ask him about hiking or his dog if you desire to deture the topic. I can almost guarentee that you'll love this class.
ReplyDeleteFor future students:
ReplyDeleteI would say that you should have taken Algebra Two, or be currently taking it. Because, by taking Algebra Two you are furthering your understanding of formulas used in Physics class. Other than that, just respect your teacher, and do the best you can. That sounds a bit cliche, but it's worth a shot.
To teachers:
Do not treat you students badly, embarras them, or make them feel inferior. Do not pick favourites, teachers pets, etcetera. Although, to get specific, Zucker never did this without knowing his students well enough for them to understand that he was joking. He is a very good teacher, and I hope that he stays around for a long time, for the student's sake.
Thank you. :D
This class is really fun and a good mix of fun and work. To be succsessful in this class, you should take the "take-home tests" serious and take the chance to re-do them if they were bad. If you pay attention in this class, what shouldn't be very difficult, because this class is always fun and you risk to miss something amazing if you don't pay attention, and do your homework you will be succsessful.
ReplyDeleteso have fun in this class, Mr. Zucker was my favourite teacher!
Wow, I'm not really sure what type advise I could give you, that would help you survive this class... But here's some tips:
ReplyDelete-No matter what you have to do, make sure you know your stuff. Otherwise, you'll probably be "recommended" to Colby 208, A.K.A the Learning Center.
-Do NOT flinch forward, when the bowling ball comes at you.
-Do not fall for the "You can sleep in Mr. Vinton's office"...its not comfy.
-no calculator = negative party points
-You might want a spend a few minutes each weekend, preparing jokes or sarcastic comebacks, they can sometimes get you bonus points.
They're not much to say about Mr. Zucker's physics class....just have fun. ^^
dont fall asleep, bad thing happen
ReplyDeletetalk about spanky the wonderdog....
Zucker is fricken insane .........
ReplyDeleteokay you don't wanna do work ask about the shaggy dog, spanky the wonder dog, black holes, and Giles in block B 1st semester. If you fall asleep you will be woken up in the freakiest ways.take notes for the test and use the book cause he hardly elaberates on some subjects.Use you're notes on the take home tests. And whatever you do pay attention the best you can.okay like now(as i write this) he's talking about drag dressers...okay have fun.Best of luck you'll need it.
ReplyDeleteDon't fall asleep
ReplyDeleteFreddy Kruger has nothing on what will happen to you in this class. Imagine your worst nightmare now multoply it by 6.67 X 10^24

ReplyDeleteJP
When having things come flying at you and Mr. Zucker says to don't move, DON'T MOVE!!!!
ReplyDeleteATTENTION STUDENTS:
ReplyDeleteMr. Zucker has a relaxed, laid back teaching style. DO NOT BE LULLED INTO A FALSE SENSE OF INVULNERABILITY. Mr. Zucker still expects your finest work. Be diligent, and your semester will be a happy. Another important point: Make good graphs. If you don't know how to use Microsoft Excel to make graphs, learn quickly. Graphing is an important part of the class.
